Attribution

How the accounts your agent touched moved through your CRM funnel, and the pipeline behind them.

Insights → Attribution answers one question: did ShowPilot contribute to pipeline? It places the accounts your agent touched in your own CRM funnel, then sorts the deals behind them into three stories of how the agent contributed. Use it when you need to show the agent's contribution to sales leadership.

This article covers which accounts count, what each card shows, and how deals are sorted.

This is not a fractional credit model. It shows what happened at accounts your agent engaged. Only a holdout test can prove the agent caused it.

Before you start

  • A connected CRM. The funnel and deal stories need lifecycle stages and deals from your CRM. See Integrations.

Which accounts count?

An account is touched when someone at that company has had at least one session with your agent and the account was active in your date range.

What do the stat cards count?

CardWhat it counts
Sourced pipelineValue of the deals in the Generated story below: deals created on or after the day your agent first engaged the account. Shown only when your CRM deals have synced and at least one deal qualifies.
Influenced pipelineOpen deal value across touched accounts.
Accounts touchedTouched accounts in the range.
CustomersTouched accounts at the Customer or Evangelist lifecycle stage. Shown when Sourced pipeline is shown.
In opportunityTouched accounts with at least one open deal. Shown when Sourced pipeline isn't.

These are pipeline values, not won revenue.

Where do touched accounts sit in your funnel?

The Contribution funnel groups touched accounts by their CRM lifecycle stage, in funnel order from Subscriber to Evangelist, with the open pipeline at each stage. Stages ShowPilot doesn't recognize appear after the standard ones, under the name your CRM uses. Accounts with no stage appear as Engaged · no CRM stage.

If none of your touched accounts has a CRM stage, the card says Connect your CRM to place touched accounts in your funnel.

How are deals sorted into stories?

Once your CRM deals sync, How ShowPilot contributed compares the date your agent first engaged each account with the dates on the deal. Each deal lands in one story, checked in this order:

  1. Generated: the agent engaged the account on or before the day the deal was created.
  2. Accelerated: the deal existed before the agent engaged, and moved into its current stage after.
  3. Revived: the deal existed for more than 60 days before the agent engaged, and hasn't moved stage since.

Deals that fit none of these are left out. Each story shows the deal count and its pipeline value.

Before deals sync, the card falls back to two stories counted by account: Generated for touched accounts with no open deal, and Accelerated for touched accounts with one.
